1 OUTSTANDING 19TH C. WRITING BOX WITH ORIGINAL ACCESSORIES: Wood is grained in a manner that resembles tortoise shell. Exterior chased brass mounts inscribed with monograms matching those of the ink bottles. Imagine being in a bygone era of written correspondence and the luxury of opening this box to expose royal purple velvet and satin interior, ink bottles, covered sections, storage for personal mementos and sterling place markers.
