PHILADELPHIA STYLE CHIPPENDALE TABLE: Solid mahogany with shaped top. Carved acanthus leaves to knees and feet. Approx. 22''h x 28 1/2'' x 20''. Earlier 20th C. Hand made by master wood carver Alfred Roebelt. Roebelt's father was a master carver in Thuringa, (now a part of East Germany), then a world renown center for fine furniture crafting. Roebelt passed his masterpiece exam at the age of 17. Coming to America in 1930 he worked for H. Sack & Company in Massachusetts until retirement in 1971. Provenance: Roebelt Estate
