IVES KEYWIND CLOCKWORK BOXERS CA. 1870'S: Two cloth dressed Negro men with wooden heads and hands, iron legs and shoes. One of the gents has glass eyes, the other has painted eyes. The men are standing on a golden oak wooden box that conceals the clock works. 11 1/2'' x 8 1/2'' x 5'' overall. The piece is wound tightly and when opened not only was what seemed to be the original key found inside, the works were as clean as the day they were made. With a little prodding both men boxed but would not cycle continuously. This piece is as though it came out of a time capsule! Please see additional photos.
