
CA.1700'S SILK NEEDLEWORK AND WATERCOLOR: A biblical scene depicting Rebecca at the Well. Worked in silk thread and water color (faces and parts of bodies) on silk ground using a variety of stitches in vibrant colors of various shades of green, brown and tan, highlight colors in teal, blue and red. Condition: all colors remain vibrant and with no loss of stitches, no stains. The silk ground is very fragile and there are areas of loss in the upper left hand portion of the sky. Sight size is 12 1/2'' x 10''. Framed under glass 16 1/2'' x 14 1/4'' overall.
