WOODLANDS BEADED DEERSKIN JACKET attrib. BUFFALO BILL CODY: Circa 1880's Woodland Indian beaded deerskin jacket attributed to being presented by W. F. Cody. Hand written inside collar piece ''Presented to R.C. Mudge, W.F. Cody (Buffalo Bill), Oct 20/1894.'' Collar piece has separated from jacket, however beading matches. Research shows a R.C. Mudge as the President of the White Rats of America, the Vaudeville Actors union in New York City and someone who would have known Cody through his New York shows. 37'' long including fringe x 34'' across at cuffs.
CONDITION: Note jacket is in fair to poor condition, missing beads, stiff, large holes and numerous repairs. In need of restoration.
