234 Click for larger picture PERSIAN BACHTIARI HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 5'6'' x 7'5'': This very pretty rug has a traditional Bachtiari garden pattern in which the field of the rug is divided into panels that have depictions of different plants and flowers as well as birds, all separated by lines which represent streams of water. Thus the image of a lush garden is represented from a land where verdant landscapes are rare. The red, blues, beiges, and ivory pallette of the rug is also pleasing and the condition is very good. 170

248 Click for larger picture INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 5'10'' x 9': This rug has an overall pattern of realistically drawn clusters of roses linked by vines on a midnight blue field. It is like an antique Veramin (Persian city rug), but is a modern rug. The whole design is very pleasing with the field being bordered by a white ground main border edged by two guard borders on each side. The colors used throughout the rug are complimentary to each other so the overall effect makes for a beautiful rug. There are a few minor stains that are not highly visible. Otherwise, the condition is good. 450
