MODERN INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 5' 8'' x 8' 9'': This rug has a traditional Persian Heriz design combined with very nontraditional colors. There is the large central medallion with its attendant spandrels but in colors that include a pale blue, black, white, and a caramel/beige. The body of the field is also caramel/beige with white corners and the main border has a black ground. The field, as well as the border, are covered with various geometric motifs that look like parts of the central medallion.
