SEMI-ANTIQUE PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 3' x 5': This small rug has a field that looks like a diamond medallion with a small almost gul shaped blue and beige center. The four corners of the field have strongly contrasting deep blue background compared to the pale peach of the main field. The field and the corners are filled in with straight lines of stylized flowers and leaves interspersed with several small birds and individual flower heads. The four larger round motifs found in the corners of the field echo the center of the medallion and add visual interest to the rug. Condition is good. | 175 |

MODERN PERSIAN SHIRAZ HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 4'9'' x 9'1'': This tribal rug has both traditional colors and motifs found in Shiraz rugs. The small central medallion with its dark background ties in with the same colors in the four corners of the field. The red field and the corners are separated by rows of small motifs that create a stepped border.
