1303 | 25-45 YRS OLD PAKISTANI BOKHARA PATTERN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUNNER, 2'8'' x 10': This red ground field runner has a traditional Bokhara design with two different ''guls'', one oval white with red center and one stick star-like gul alternating in lines over the length of the rug. The red ground border has a gul that looks like a composite of the two designs found in the field. CONDITION: Condition is good except that there are some places on the sides that need repair due to the selvedge pulling away from the rug. |

1324 | SEMI-ANTIQUE INDO AUBUSSON HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 8' 4'' x 11' 6'': This rug has a traditional French Aubusson design with its open ivory colored field surrounding a large oval medallion done in soft pastel shades of blue, green, pink, yellow, and beige. A center of flowers is outlined by bands of blue, beige and green and there are repeating drops of flowers at either end of the medallion. The oval design is continued with a blue and yellow edge to the field. The main ivory ground border completes the design with a looping band of leaves that look like a valance to a drapery. The clear colors and well-drawn designs of this rug make it look like it would fit right in to a Paris Salon of yesteryear. CONDITION: There is some slight soiling visible in the ivory field. |
