Round rugs are not easy to weave and don't always have an even design, but this one is well done. This would look good in an entryway of your home.

Retailed by G.W. Simons Brothers, Philadelphia. Brass hilt with extra fancy embellishments on pommel, original rayskin wrap and wire. 31'' blade with etched US, eagle, motto, shield and foliate motifs. Original complete leather scabbard with brass mounts. Overall 38'' long.
CONDITION: Spots of age discoloration and missing very tip of blade, flaking and loss of leather to scabbard, break to stitching. Loss of gilt to scabbard mounts, top mount loose. Wear to ray skin on grip.

277 Click for larger picture MODEL 1855 US SPRINGFIELD PISTOL CARBINE: A rare Model 1855 percussion pistol manufactured by Springfield Armory. A representative example, this particular example does exhibit some issues. Replacement butt stock has been attached by strap on back side, lockplate missing date otherwise marked correctly; date stamp on tag appears to have been altered at some point, no visible inspector cartouche, and missing rear site. Action currently works fine. Brass furniture with balance of metal with plum brown patina. 12'' .58 caliber barrel. Overall with butt stock 28'' long.
CONDITION: Typical scratches and gouges to stocks, wear to brass finish, surface rust and discoloration. Burchard Galleries does not advocate attempting to fire ANY antique firearm.

PAKISTANI HAND KNOTTED RUG, 6' x9': Fine overall pattern, round central medallion on white ground in colors of blues, reds, and blue-black outline, around the medallion are 8 red outlined gold leaf motifs, 2 on each side, that frame the medallion. The remainder of the field is covered with a profusion of leaves, flowers and vines. The dark ground of the main border nicely completes the picture of the rug. Condition is good. 700
