1253A | SEMI-ANTIQUE PERSIAN KERMAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 7'11'' x 9'6'': This pretty rug has the more desirable overall pattern found in quality Kerman rugs. There is a central medallion but it is surrounded by an ivory field that is covered with sprays of flowers done in shades of blue, green, pink, beige, and black. The corners and middle of the sides of the field of the rug are scalloped and motifs from the field go in the border. This broken border is an asset to the overall look of the rug and shows the complexity of the design. Condition is good. | 1100 | |

The white ground main border has a design with palmettes divided by large leaves done in the colors that are also in the field. CONDITION: There is a stain at one ends corner of the field and the rug has been re-dyed in many places to rejuvenate it. |

The central field has a deep blue-black ground with a row of palmettes in alternating shapes. On either side of these are large flower heads that are surrounded by large leaves that almost look like they are swirling around them. OLD, 10'4'' x 13'8'': This rug has an extremely busy field that has a large central rounded medallion with a flower petal edge and spandrels hanging from either end. This rug looks like an Ardebil pattern rug with a look of a very old rug. There is a lot of abrash, or color change in the colors of the field but it doesn't detract from the look of the rug. CONDITION: There is some old moth damage and some wear but it is still a good-looking rug. |
