SEMI-ANTIQUE N. W. PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 3' 7'' x 7' 8'': This rug is an example of tribal or village weavings with its vibrant colors and design combinations that are derivative of more than one weaving center. The field is divided into panels with different colored backgrounds, blue and red-orange and further divided by smaller panels with squares going across the rug from side to side. In the large panels are found white ground octagonal medallions with a smaller inner design. The rest of the fields are sprinkled with various small design motifs. The borders are very narrow in comparison with the field. An appealing rug for those who like Tribal types.
