Case with beveled glass sides, column corners, champleve enamel borders. Porcelain dial marked Ansonia, time and gong strike movement. Overall measures 13 1/4'' h. x 7 1/4'' x 6''. Sold with matching cut glass urn garniture set with champleve enamel inserts, 11 3/4'' h. x 5''.
CONDITION: Uneven finish to brass finish, pendulum appears to be replacement, currently running however not guaranteed to continue.

In grateful acknowledgment and appreciation of her gracious courtesy and distinguished ability as Chairman of the Ladies Flower Committee of the May Festival of 1900''. Door and base with exceptionally carved double shell motifs, signed inside case. This clock is most unusual in that its case was made from several church pews rescued from the remains of a devastating fire at The First Parish Universalist Church of Stoughton, Massachusetts which burned in 1966. The inside of the case bearing the inscription ''Made by Stewart Fee for my wife Natalie, 1988''. Painted metal dial, time and strike movement. Overall measures 94 1/2'' x 20'' x 12''.

1176 Click for larger picture APPROX 75-100 YR OLD PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 8'10'' x 10'10'': This Persian city rug has a blue weft that is usually an identifier for Sarouks, but it is a finer weave than is generally found in rugs woven on the looms in that area. The rugs center has tomato red rounded diamond shaped medallion with a white center and white outline. The spandrels that extend from either end of the medallion blend in with the palmettes, flower heads and vines that surround them and cover the pretty blue field. The red and white corners of the field and the wide red main border complete this work of art.
CONDITION: The rug has been re-fringed, there are some areas of wear and there are some stains but it is still a lovely rug.

1207A Click for larger picture APPROX 20-30 YR OLD INDIAN WOOL RUG, 9'2'' x 12'2'': This room size rug has a modern looking design and color palette while some of the motifs have their roots in old Chinese and Celtic designs. The blue/black ground has a smaller repeating pattern that forms grid work covering the interior of the rug. Here and there are square or rectangular panels that have pale aqua blue or soft salmon pink as their predominate colors. The smaller panels have oral designs while the largest panel has a sort of eternal knot repeated in four squares. The border has a more traditional pattern of alternating palmettes, flowers and leaves with vines.
CONDITION: There is some soil, slight stains and color run.

1342 Click for larger picture APPROX 20-35 YR OLD HAND WOVEN FLAT WEAVE RUG, 6'3'' x 8'11'': Possibly Indian or Romanian weave, this rug has an interesting design that has a horse and hunting references in its motifs. The deep blue/black of the rug around a rectangular white center has red and green bands with yellow/gold straps reminiscent of horse trappings. In the four corners of the rug are found designs that look like a hunting horn, a riding crop, a fox, and possibly a red riding cap. In the center of the rug is a saddle. This would be an interesting addition to a den or study. Condition is good. 100
