1085 | STEWART DIXON FEE JR HAND CARVED LONG CASE CLOCK: 20th century clock, case hand carved by Stewart Dixon Fee Jr. Bonnet with broken arch pediment and carved florets, 3 urn and flame finals, and fluted full column supports. Door and base with exceptionally carved double shell motifs, signed inside case. This clock is most unusual in that its case was made from several church pews rescued from the remains of a devastating fire at The First Parish Universalist Church of Stoughton, Massachusetts which burned in 1966. The inside of the case bearing the inscription ''Made by Stewart Fee for my wife Natalie, 1988''. Painted metal dial, time and strike movement. Overall measures 94 1/2'' x 20'' x 12''.
