SEMI-ANTIQUE KURDISH-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 4' 6'' x 6' 5'': This rug was probably woven in North-west Persia by Kurds and has a repeating ''boteh'' or paisley pattern that is also done in Seraband and Senna rugs. The dark blue diamond shape of the central field has small botehs in alternating rows covering the main part of the rug. The white corners of the central field have other motifs including some human figures, and star/snowflake shaped flowers.
CONDITION: There is some wear and some color bleed but it doesn't detract from the charm of this rug.
