1265A Click for larger picture APPROX. 20-40 YR OLD INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 10' 2'' x 13' 6'': This rug's soft colors are enlivened by accents of blue and red. In the small central medallion a dark blue center with pale pinkish peach and blue are repeated in the corners of the otherwise ivory field. The field is covered with small clusters of flowers, palmettes, and vines with leaves. The pinkish peach ground of the main border does a nice job of framing the lighter colored center. Condition is good. 550
1266 Click for larger picture FLORIDA CONFEDERATE CIVIL WAR MUSTER ROLL: Dated from Sept. 20, 1861 to Dec. 1st, 1861, for Lt. Munns Coast Guard Regiment out of Apalachicola for the State of Florida. This document dates so early in the War that Florida had not yet printed it's own muster and pay rolls, thus this is actually a Georgia pay roll with Georgia crossed out. Overall measures 17'' x 28'' opened.
CONDITION: Toning, tears at fold lines.

1268 Click for larger picture JOHN BRADSTREET (1711-1774) PAY RECEIPT: From the original Early American Numismatics 1993 catalog: ''Dated June 24, 1756, 6 1/4'' x 3 3/4''. The location of issue is Ft. Williams, and in addition to John Bradstreet's bold signature is a slightly smaller signature of William Williams, which is believed to be the same as the William Williams, signer of the Declaration of Independence.'' John Bradstreet rose to the rank of Major-General. Attached to card, the signature of Sander Lewis, the payee, is attached verso. Card measures 6 1/2'' x 4''. 200

1276 Click for larger picture SEMI-ANTIQUE PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 9'4'' x 12': This Persian city rug is a finely woven example with a red field covered by an overall pattern of sprays of flowers of various types and sizes radiating out from a central anchoring row of motifs. The deep blue ground of the main border frames the field.
CONDITION: There is some color run, some areas of wear, and the selvedges have been redone (one by machine, one by hand).

CONDITION: Necklace missing a 5'' section of beads at the double strand section. Occasional ding/bend to blossoms.

1284 Click for larger picture APPROX 65/85 YR OLD CHINESE HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 9' 1'' x 11' 8'': A fine example of a Nichols Chinese rug with its artful use of a limited palette of colors and well placed, well-chosen motifs. The velvety looking light mink colored field has a blue vase with flowers in its center. Around this butterflies fly around and towards the corners of the field are sprays of blue flowers. The blue borders and the light mink outer band complete the picture.
CONDITION: There are some slight stains in the field but they don't detract much from the rugs overall appearance.

Document measures 13'' x 7 3/4'' and has a large star shaped Seal of Connecticut in the left border area.''.

1288 Click for larger picture ROGER SHERMAN CONNECTICUT JUDICIAL AND TREASURY DOCUMENT: From the original 1994 Early American Numismatics Auction catalog: ''Showing the payment to the major judges within the State for their service as Judges for 2 months being signed by each of the judges noting their payment. Document states ''The Colony of Connecticut to the Judges of the Superior Court of Holding Said Court by Adjournment in the Counties on New Haven, Hartford and Windham, in December 1770 and January 1771''. This 12'' x 7 1/2'' document is fully notated listing the following judges payments due and having their signatures and showing the cash being received by each. Justices include: Matthew Griswold, Robert Walker, Eli Hale Dyer, Roger Sherman (signer of the Declaration of Independence for Connecticut and the U.S. Constitution), and William Pitkin. The bottom of the document has instructions dated at Windham January 25, 1771 ''to the Treasurer of the Colony of Connecticut, Sir - Pay the Judges of the Supreme Court their sums to them respectively due agreeable to the above debenture''. On heavy laid paper with clean appearance and bold brown signatures.'' Sherman was one of the ''Committee of Five'' who drafted the Declaration of Independence and a Founding Father. He was the only person to sign all four great state papers of the U.S.: the Continental Association, the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution.
CONDITION: Toning, laid down.

1299 Click for larger picture ROBERT MORRIS DECLARATION SIGNER CLIP SIGNATURE: From the original 1992 Early American Numismatic Auctions catalog: ''Robert Morris, Signer of the Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, and Member of the U.S. Constitutional Convention in 1787 on a cut square, 3'' wide by 1'' high ''FREE'' Frank from an early colonial envelope. Stamped ''FREE'' above Morris' signature. Morris was instrumental in paying off money owed to Continental Soldiers, by the government securing loans from France and the Netherlands for our country. Unfortunately, this heroic American patriot died in near poverty after spending over three years in debtors prison near the end of his life. Signature is in bold, vivid, rich brown pen.'' Affixed to card which is affixed to steel engraving of Morris. 8'' x 6 1/2''.
