1256A Click for larger picture APPROX 25-35 YR OLD TURKISH HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 4'5'' x 6'5'': This rug has an unusual but pretty color palette. The deep aqua green field has three large medallions that are done in a salmon pink, brown, aqua, and a grey-blue. The field also has a few scattered small design elements, but it is the medallions that predominate. The black ground main border is banded by blue-red guard borders. Condition is good. 350

OLD INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 4'6'' x 7': This red ground tribal look rug has a central medallion with large spandrels suspended from either end. The medallion is done in colors of red, grey, and brown, with accents of green and white. There are stick figure birds here and there amongst the other smaller motifs that cover the rest of the field. A white inner border puts a frame on the central field of the rug.
CONDITION: There is some slight old moth damage not easily visible.

To include ''A Chart of the Expedition of Cyrus the Younger'', ''The World as Known to the Antients'', ''Greece'', ''The Carthaginian Empire in Africa'', ''A Map to explain the History of the Assyrians, Babylonians, Medes and Persians'', ''Map for the Expedition of Hannibal (dated 1859)'', ''Graecia Magna including Sicily'', ''Egypt and Lybia''. Sold with ''A Map of the Retreat of the Ten Thousand'', unmarked as to maker, originally published circa 1760. All maps framed, largest frame measures 17 1/4'' x 25 1/4''.
CONDITION: Several maps with visible tape areas, not examined out of frame, sold as-is.

1279 Click for larger picture ANTIQUE CAUCASIAN KARABAGH HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUNNER, 3'4'' x 10'7'': This rug has good colors and a strong design. There are smaller medallions and half medallions on a soft brick red field that are outlined by a medium blue repeating diamond shaped band that runs the length of the rug. There are white ground guard borders and red/blue bands on either side of a pale blue ground border that has alternating stars and leaves.
CONDITION: There is an area of significant wear in the center of the runner and the sides need some attention, but it is still an attractive, quality rug.

1287A Click for larger picture APPROX 20-35 YR OLD AFGHAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUNNER, 2'7'' x 8'11'': This runner has a black ground field that is covered with a complex geometric design that includes a central row of diamonds that are within other shaped medallions such as stepped stars etc. These medallions go down the center of the field and are linked to the design elements on either side by vines. The multiple small borders that use the same colors found in the field complete the design. Condition is good. 350

OLD PERSIAN VILLAGE RUG, 4'1'' x 6'8'': This rug has a striking look due to the way the colors and designs were combined to create the overall finished product. There is a large medium blue medallion on a larger red medallion of the same shape that is bordered by a white ram's horn edge. This rests on a deeper blue field that is edged by the guard and main borders of the rug. There are birds and animals found scattered among the other small motifs that fill in the field and medallions of the rug. Condition is good. 250
