CONDITION: Fine condition with no signs of cracks or repairs.

Oil/Canvas, 47 1/2'' x 39 1/4'', no visible signature, period frame, 56 1/2'' x 48''. Michael Davis Shipping Limited label affixed verso for client Frank Garrett Limited, acquired from an East Coast storage locker purchase. A similar portrait was sold at Christie's, by Kneller, of the same sitter, in July, 2010.
CONDITION: Two tears and a puncture to canvas, scattered craquelure throughout, frame has been overpainted and is missing portions of gesso and carving. Sold as is.
