1092 | APPROX. 40-65 YR. OLD PERSIAN HAMADAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 12' x 16': This Hamadan has a pattern that is like a Fereghan design but not weave. The multiple borders of the rug surround a field covered with a small repeating design of flowers radiating out from a diamond shaped grid of vines or a cluster of flower heads. The colors are mainly red, white, pale green, and pink on a blue field. CONDITION: This rug has faded significantly on one end. This could be mitigated with a little judicious dying to bring the colors back. Otherwise it has a few other imperfections commensurate with its age. |
