1189 Click for larger picture APPROX. 15-30 YR. OLD INDO / PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 7'3'' x 8'3'': This almost square rug has a well-drawn, well executed ''riff'' on an antique Persian design. Large palmettes are laid out in a pattern over the field and linked to the other smaller flowers and leaves by a network of vines. The border has a midnight blue ground with large palmettes that alternate direction and are similarly linked to each other and other flowers by vines. The colors are clear and well-chosen in this lovely example of good weaving. Condition is good. 450
