APPROX. 20-35YR. OLD PAKISTANI-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED SILK?, WOOL, AND COTTON RUG, 6'2'' x 9': This attractive rug has an intricate, well executed design that consists of a white centered pale rust red medallion with spandrels dangling from each end all resting in a midnight blue/black field. There is an inner pale ivory and beige border that has red rust palmettes that have the same shape as the spandrels. Around the medallion and spandrels are found sprays of flowers and leaves that cover the rest of the field. The main border has a rust red ground and the guard borders have ivory grounds. There is an extra border that has a pile design over a flat ground. This denotes extra care was taken in the weaving of this rug.
CONDITION: There are some stains visible but not detracting too much from the overall look.
