1020 | EXCEPTIONAL 19TH CENTURY PAINTING OF THE BUBBLE BLOWERS: This finely executed Oil on Canvas is being attributed to Anton Romako and is nearly identical to a painting entitled ''The Bubble Blowers'', a known, signed work created by Romako in 1868. This most interesting Oil/Canvas has no visible signature and is encased in a period carved and gilded frame with wear. It measures 21 3/4'' x 29'', 31'' x 38'' with frame. According to the book ''The Art of the Vienna Galleries'' by David C. Preyer, 1891, Anton Romako is described as a genre painter who is particularly successful with Viennese children types and Italian figures and goes on to reference his work ''The Bubble Blowers'' as a ''Symphony in delicate whites''.
