TURLAND, George, (English, 1877-1947): Market Scene, Oil/Board, 20'' x 24'', signed lower left, framed, 22'' x 26''. George Turland Goosey designed several important buildings in America and was an accomplished etcher. In 1921, he returned to England to try his hand at painting and settled in the St Ives art colony. He developed an impressionistic style in oils and his paintings are much admired for their quality.
