MULREADY, Augustus Edwin, (British, 1844-1905): ''Sounds of Revelry, 1887'', Oil/Wood Panel, 14.25'' x 10.5'', signed lower right, early label affixed verso, encased in a gilded frame 21'' x 17''. Mulready was quite known for his almost literal interpretations of everyday life, which differed from the quite emotional works of the era. A member of the Royal Academy, his exhibited works were shown from 1863-1880.
