Pris obtained a degree in graphic design and worked in various phases of the advertising industry, while she continued her studies in architectural drafting and landscape/architectural renderings. She was always interested in art and taught herself how to paint in the early part of her artistic career. She has worked with and been mentored by a number of artists in her career and more recently her instructors have been Ann Templeton of New Mexico and Bill Herring of Texas. Her works have been shown in numerous galleries in the U.S.
