ANTIQUE NW PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 3'2'' x 7'9'': This old timer has a small repeating design, tomato red in color, which looks like moths/butterflies on a brown black field. There are also two charming little figures of a child on the edge of the field. There is a dramatic field color change at one end from the dark ground to a light shade of brown. This type of work is often found in tribal or village rugs and can add to the charm of the rug. The white guard borders frame both the field and the tomato red ground main border with a contrast that livens up the whole rug.
CONDITION: There are visible areas of wear and the sides and one end needs some work. Not bad for the age of the rug.
