LARGE PLANTE MIXED METAL FRAME: Copper, Silver-plate and Possibly Sterling Metals Encasing George and Mary, The Royalty, Photographic Print is of Queen Mary and King George and their coronation in 1911, overall measurement approx. 34'' x 25'', impressed plante marked verso in an old Hollywood Road Gallery, Chelsea label affixed verso, has an easel back, can be hung or displayed on a table. On June 22nd, 1911, King George V and Queen Mary were coronated in a grand ceremony at Westminster Abbey. The coronation included an homage to their son, The Prince of Wales who would later become King Edward VIII and the Duke of Windsor.
CONDITION: Photographic print has major issues including insect damage, missing paper, toning, and the frame has been dropped on the left side with obvious dent and disfiguration, rosettes missing in four corners and the top, other scattered abrasions and pitting, sold as is.
