AFTER ANTOINE GAUDREAU LOUIS XV STYLE MOUNTED COMMODE: An exquisite nearly identical copy of the rococo commode commissioned by Louis XV to Antoine Gaudreau to house his coin collection in Le Cabinet de Roi, Versailles. Over the top gold decorated metal mounts to include ram heads, center masqueron, vignettes in medallions, foliate and floral scrolls. Shaped marble top and front, parquetry inlaid fruit wood. 2 locking doors open to reveal 2 drawers either side. Overall measures 37 3/4'' h. x 70 3/4'' x 25 1/2''.
CONDITION: Multiple repairs to marble top, slight imperfections to veneer on right side. Frass found in drawer. No visible or structural damage.
