Special attention should be made to ''The Negro and Apprenticeship'' which includes a letter addressed to Mr. Patterson by Willard Wirtz, Secretary of Labor, dated 1967 . Most first editions, all with original dust jackets, some signed. Eugene Patterson was the Pulitzer Prize winning editor of The Atlanta Constitution during the civil rights conflicts, later managing editor of The Washington Post and The St. Petersburg Times.
