Ferdinand Rotten Gallery label affixed verso with artist's biography. Colescott has degrees from Berkeley, Grand Chaumiere/Paris and the Slade School of Art/London. He received prestigious fellowships with a Guggenheim, a Fulbright and 3 National Endowments for the Artists Fellowships. His imagery evolved into social satire created in the mediums of serigraphy and intaglio printmaking.
