FOLON, Jean-Michel, (Belgian, 1934-2005): Abstract Surreal Etching, 19.75'' x 25.5'' with margins, pencil signed lower right and numbered EA VII/X, blind stamp lower left corner, framed, 31'' x 37''. Over the years Folon's work experimented with different techniques - watercolor, etching, silkscreen, illustrations, mosaics, stained glass, - which showed the diversity of his art. In the '80s he created his first sculptures from wood. He continued sculpting moving on to the use of clay, plaster, bronze and marble, while continuing to paint. Folons friends were among the rich and powerful including Jacques Chirac and Prince Albert II.
