APPROX20-40 YR OLD INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 5'11'' X 8'6'': This good-looking rug has a combination of Persian and Caucasian designs. The central field design looks like rugs woven in the Shiraz or Quashqui Persians. The midnight blue field, the red/orange and white central medallion, and the white smaller medallions at each end of the main medallion are all part of their traditional designs. However, the serrated leaf and wine glass design found in the border is usually found in rugs from the Caucasus region. The colors and designs work together to make an attractive rug. CONDITION: This rug is in good condition. |

MONUMENTAL CHINESE CARVED DRAGON FLOOR SCREEN: Late Qing to early 20th century, profusely carved crest with figural dragons, flaming ball and clouds. Center panels frame with geometric designs. Front panel with intricate repeating carved squares ground under applied painted bone and ivory petal flowering tree and plants. Back panel continues the carved dragon and clouds design. Figural dragon supports, base with similar decoration to crest. Overall measures 82'' h. x 39 1/4'' x 24 3/4''. The ivory in this piece is covered by the ESA De Minimus exemption as it is original to the piece, limited to only the top flower petals and totaling under 2oo grams in weight.
