A wide variety of subjects to include native Samoans (2 photos of semi-nude women), landscapes, plants, naval boats, huts and more. Each photo 2 3/4'' x 4 1/4'', set into each page with cloth corners, not glued in or laid down. Overall album measures 12'' x 9''. Sold with a postcard dated 1938. APPROX 20-40 YR OLD PERSIAN KARAJA HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUNNER, 2'2'' X 12'6'': This long and straight runner has the traditional colors and design of Karaja area rugs. A row of different shapes and colored medallions goes down the center of the brick red field. Around the medallions the field has scattered motifs that include arrows, stars, birds, flowers, and more. The white ground main border makes the field design stand out. CONDITION: This rug is in good condition. |

APPROX 25-50 YR OLD PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 3' X 5'4'': This good-looking village or tribal rug has two diamond shaped medium blue ground medallions in the center of the field. They have stepped outlines in dark blue and white and rest on a red/rust field. Blue/black vines go around flowers around the medallions. The blue guard borders and the beige main border have traditional designs that include the serrated leaf and flower done in the same colors on the field. CONDITION: There is some visible wear but mostly good. |

The medallions have either aqua, blue, or ivory fields with pale blue, red/rust, and ivory colored motifs and outlines. APPROX 20-35 YR OLD PAKISTANI TURKISH DESIGN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 6' X 7'2'': The pretty blue field of this rug is broken up by a large central brick red medallion and two half diamonds at either end of the rug. The diamonds are outlined with a white zig-zag edge. A few other small design elements are found on the field but there is a sense of openness. The zig-zag design is continued in the white and pale blue angled leaves on the brick red main border. An attractive rug. CONDITION: This rug is in good condition. |

APPROX 20-35 YR OLD PERSIAN VILLAGE HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 4'8'' X 9'2'': This wild and crazy village rug has a large grey with peach, brown, and white, central medallion on a red/rust field that has some abrash or color change. Spandrels or palmettes are at either end in line with the medallion. Each ends motif is done in different colors. The blue corners and the field have flowers and vines that are so stylized it's difficult to recognize that that's what they are! This rug has a nice primitive look to it. CONDITION: Condition is good with a few spots and minor color run. |
