Oval inlaid brass medallion, boulle inlay and rounded brass edges to all sides. 4''h x 7'' x 16''. From the Estate of the Late Dr. William Standish Reed, M.D, M.S. (Surrey). Bill was a University of Michigan, School Master of Science in Surgery well as a poet, author and symphony violinist. CONDITION: One brass strip dislodged and peeling lacquer overall. Missing felt lifting strip to upper level of case seemingly otherwise in time capsule condition. |

The field is covered with a small repeating pattern with bands of red, red flowers and diamonds with brown, aqua, and white leaves and flowers around them. The corners of the field have a pale green ground with botehs and vines in them. CONDITION: Some color fade but otherwise good. |
