The corners are peach colored and the main border has a white ground.
CONDITION: There is visible wear and the blue has been ''touched'' up to renew the color and cover wear.

CONDITION: Condition is good except the fringes are very low.

1237A Click for larger picture APPROX 20-45 YR OLD INDO PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 9'7'' X 13'3'': This rug has a red, white, and medium blue rounded edge diamond shaped central medallion with spandrels on a deep blue field. The corners of the field match the center in color and style. The flowers, palmettes, and leaves that cover the rest of the field have a lot of white in them which brightens the whole design. There are six guard borders around the red ground main border. There is a signature cartouche in the end border of the rug.
CONDITION: There are areas of visible wear in the field.

The ivory bands represent the irrigation system of the garden and most panels have a tree, plants or birds as the main design. A lush garden is a symbol of wealth and well-being, especially in arid lands.
CONDITION: This rug is in good condition.
