1106 | APPROX 25-45 YR OLD INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 6'7'' X 9'11'': A pale blue outlined by a red and brown scalloped edge diamond shaped medallion is on a larger scalloped edge white ground medallion with spandrels. These rest on the black outer part of the rug's field. A small intricate design repeats over all with the colors in the design changing to match with the ground they are on. Six guard borders and a wide black ground main border with its large white motifs complete the framework of the rug. CONDITION: Good |

The design of the field consists of a center row of smaller flower heads and palmettes and a row of larger palmettes and flower heads is on each side. All are linked by delicate vines that travel out beyond the rows with a few more small leaves and flowers. Pale yellow and white guard borders and a rust/orange main border frame the field.
