From a series of 20 views of Paestum called Different Views of Some of the Remains of Three Great Edifices That Still Exist at the Center of the Ancient City of Pesto, or Posidonia (Paestum). This work was among Piranesi's last works who died in 1778. The final plate shown here was probably completed by his son, Francesco. Sight size 19.5'' x 27'', framed 27.5'' x 35.5''.
