APPROX 15-30 YR OLD SINO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 12'1'' X 17'10'': This palatial size beauty has a traditional Persian curvilinear floral design on a deep blue/black field. The pale, ivory, grey, pale green and pink central medallion with spandrels at either end is surrounded by flowers and palmettes linked by vines covering the field out to the corners. The corners and the borders are done in colors that match the central medallion. This is a well-designed lovely rug. CONDITION: There are some stains near the center of the field and in the border. They may be able to be lightened up by spot cleaning. |
