1234 Click for larger picture APPROX 20-40 YR OLD PERSIAN NAIN QUALITY KNOTTED SILK RUG, 3'5'' X 5': This very finely knotted silk rug has a well-drawn and executed design with an ornate colorful central medallion within a medallion. The white and pale green corners of the field have red, green, and pale blue colored motifs. The rest of the field has flowers, palmettes, and leaves linked by delicate vines carefully placed around the medallion. The blue main border matches the medallion in colors and some of the design elements.
CONDITION: This rug is in good condition.

Approximate measurements: 28.5'' from neck to sleeve cuff/hem, 16.5'' across back and 47'' length from neck to hem. Approximate size 10. Recently verbally appraised by a local fur expert to be in excellent condition and current market value as $2500.
CONDITION: 3 hook and eye closures. Top closures needs eye and second closure needs a hook.

The rest of the field is covered with palmettes, flower heads, and leaves in colors that include a deeper peach, white, aqua, and black. The black ground main border and the aqua and white guard borders complete the rug.
CONDITION: There is some shading, some stains, and there is a repair needed on one side (pulling away).
