19TH CENTURY VILLACA PORTUGUESE SILVER FIGURAL TOOTHPICK HOLDER: Portuguese silver toothpick holder Stamped Villaca and an impressed P under a crown on underside. Swan sits atop a flower over a ball with 3 dolphin fish. Each one has its mouth in a bowl. They are attached to a triangular box with silver openwork. The base has a foliate and flower pattern sitting on 3 4-toed feet. Made by Custodio Martins of Vilaca, Porto circa 1820. Extensive chase work. Some gold remnants still visible.
