CARVED 17TH CENTURY ITALIAN HIGH RELIEF FIGURAL CABINET: High relief figural 17th century Italian cabinet with top center of cupboard has a knight's head over the fleur-de-lis flanked by 2 drawers having cherub & foliate pulls. There are 5 drawers & 3 doors that are visible. Bottom drawer has a figure wearing a crown of thorns. Middle right door opens to show 2 drawers that pull out to reveal 2 hidden compartments to right side. There are also 2 hidden drawers, one above, and one below the central door having a nude figure. Central door opens with 2 drawers in a removable frame that reveals 4 more hidden compartments. This piece once temporarily resided in the Fogg Museum, which is the Harvard Art Museum. Believed to reside in an Italian church due to certain figures on cabinet. Approx. 32'' h x 34.25'' l x 15.75'' w.
