APPROX 25-50 YR OLD PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 9'7'' X 12'10'': Approx 25-50 yr old Persian hand knotted wool rug, 9.7 x 12.10. This lively, vibrant room -size rug has a large diamond shaped white, blue, and red central medallion with spandrels at either end, all resting on an open red diamond shaped field. White ground corners complete the field. The medallion and the corners have a Herati repeating pattern with curving leaves around some flowers and diamond shaped lines around others. The red ground of the main border matches the red of the field and both are flanked by the pale yellow and light blue guard borders.
CONDITION: There is visible wear and the sides need some attention, but the overall look is good.
