1152 Click for larger picture PLATINUM EDWARDIAN EMERALD & DIAMOND RING: 1.16CT oval mixed cut emerald is bezel set amid 18 sparkling old European round cut diamonds. Diamond weight 2.50CTW rated SI in clarity and H-I-J in color. Size 7. Weight 6.5 grams. Period correct. Sold with current Atlanta Gemological GIA graduate's appraisal for $9250. 1700
1153 Click for larger picture APPROX 15-35 YR OLD PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 8'2'' X 10'3'': This rug has an interesting design composed of a series of medallions in pale yellow, white, pale green, and rust placed in the center and all around the black ground field. These are linked by a series of bands of the same colors as the medallions. Some of the medallions run over onto the borders from the field. Since the colors of the borders are the same there is a sense of continuity and harmony.
CONDITION: Overall look of the rug is good but it has been professionally reduced in size.

1154 Click for larger picture CIVIL WAR AMES MODEL 1840 NCO SWORD: Full cast brass hilt non-commissioned officer's sword, 32 1/4'' blade marked Ames Mfg Co. Chicopee Mass on ricasso, marked US, JH, 1864 verse. Blade has nice dark chocolate brown patina, overall 39'' long, no scabbard.
CONDITION: Slight bend to tip, typical signs of use.

All are done in colors that include shades of blue, green, pink, ivory, red. A deep green colored main border is flanked by several guard borders in red, ivory, and blue. 1100

OLD INDO-PERSIAN HERIZ HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG: 6'1'' X 9'1: This in between size rug has a traditional format for a Heriz rug with its lobed central medallion of dark blue, rust red and ivory sitting on a rust red field. There are spandrels suspended from either end of the medallion as well as a network of medium blue vines that go out from the edge of the medallion in all directions. These link up with the leaves and flowers in the field. The ivory & rust corners and the blue ground main border finish the overall pattern of the rug.
CONDITION: Condition is good.

1177 Click for larger picture APPROX 15-35 YR OLD TURKISH PAIR OF HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUGS, 3' X 5': The velvety red field of this pair of rugs are covered with a repeating pattern of rows of stylized leaves in flowers in white with other color accents. The guard borders match the field design in color and the main borders deep blue/black ground nicely frames the field. This matching pair would be nice in an entryway/hall, or bedroom.

This rug is inscribed ''Hereke'' in one corner of the rug. The deep blue field is covered with a profusion of flowers laid out in a complex traditional pattern. The light blue and white guard borders flanking the red ground main border are also filled with a variety of flowers. 325

This section of the belt ends with a triangle shaped link at each end, each set with 3 yellow-brown stones. The 2nd (probably front) section of the belt has 6 squarish links that are more elaborately decorated with 7 stones each ending with a triangle shaped link at each end topped with 3 stones. 1189 Click for larger picture APPROX 20-40 YR OLD PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 5' X 8': This rug has a traditional Persian curvilinear floral pattern. The circular star central medallion with spandrels at each end is done in colors that include a peachy beige, green, dark blue, white, and red. The flowers, palmettes, and leaves that cover the field come away from the central medallion with delicate vines that help to link the whole design together on the red colored field. The corners of the field are like portions of the central medallion but in slightly different colors. Throughout the rug white silk is used to highlight the motifs. The deep blue ground main border flanked by the lighter colored guard borders frame the field and complete the design. 600
