1014 Click for larger picture FINE BLACK 19th CENTURY CLOISONNE WASH POT: 19th century copper wired black cloisonne wash pot used to clean brushes after painting. This has an elaborate lotus and foliate with thin tight spirals throughout interior & exterior which is a less commonly found thing. Some gilt remains toward the lower exterior. Center double happiness symbol in center. Approx. 2.5'' h x 8'' w.
CONDITION: Green interior to copper wire, which is consistent with age and use.

Mounted in a scrolling foliate bronze to handles. Raised on a bronze base. Lid has a cherub finial over 2 stylized Griffin's painted in gold. Mark under lid dates this beauty to 1758. Approx. 33.75'' h x 14.75'' w.
CONDITION: Vintage photos taken by the consignor's family are in the office. Loss of gold at finial. One pin to handle missing.
