Sioux quartz is another name for the stone as it is generally found in the Dakota's and South Eastern Minnesota, which is where the Sioux Indians could be found. The Sioux had used this quartz more commonly for pipes, as it a softer mineral. There is a maker's mark inscribed in a circle on the back right. Approx. 16.5'' h x 19'' l x 6'' w.
