MEN'S CARTIER COLOGNE FLASK WITH 14K: Glass flask with a floral design on upper portion and plain glass bottom that allows the flask to sit into a 14K holder, measures 4'' H x 2.50'' W. 14K is marked Cartier New York and weighs 25.8 grams. Top lid tests 14K. This flask was owned by the consignor's great grandfather, Albert E. Smith, and his monogram is on the top of the flask. Smith (1875-1958) was co-founder of Vitagraph Studios producing silent films. Smith was presented with an Oscar at the 20th annual awards ceremony and the inscription on the base of the Oscar reads: ''One of the small group of pioneers whose belief in a new medium, and whose contributions to its development, blazed the trail along which the motion picture has progressed, in their lifetime, from obscurity to world-wide acclaim.''
CONDITION: Glass flask appears to be in very good condition with chips etc. 14K shows some wear appropriate for age & use.
