Signed Maisells, dated '63 lower left, 10'' x 27''. This painting was possibly part of the George Hinman Collection (personal friend of Chief Half Moon) which lay buried in the basement of Hinman's daughter for over 60 years according to the attached article from the Estes Colorado Home Guide Weekly. Chief Half Moon was a Choctaw Indian Artist and Cartoonist who traveled with the Arapaho and Crow studying their customs and lore. From a prominent Fl estate. Sold with accompanying article and info.
CONDITION: Unframed, water staining to reverse of painting. Minor foxing and white flecks of paint
