HOPPER, Frank, (American, b. 1924): World War II Doolittle Raiders Painting Depicting B-52 Bombers and The Hornet: The Doolittle Raiders were a group led by Jimmy Doolittle that executed America's daring first strike against Japan in World War II. Oil/Canvas, 38'' x 30'', signed lower right twice, also signed by all the remaining survivors that were involved in the attack in the lower margin, framed, 42'' x 34''. Included with the painting is a book entitled ''The Doolittle Raid'' and a pamphlet.
