CASED MEERSCHAUM PIPE WITH BEARDED MAN HEAD: Beautifully carved & detailed Meerschaum bowl and ribbed, curved amber mouthpiece with a detailed metal band come together to form an elegantly profiled pipe. Measures 11.5'' l and bowl measures 3'' h. Case is lined with a deep red satin and velvet material. This collection is from a storage unit - the original owner is unknown. Letters in the unit to and from Dr. Burton Gottfried suggest that some or all of these items may be from his prestigious collection.
CONDITION: Meerschaum bowl has some nice coloring and an appealing patina. Mouthpiece shows normal wear. Case shows normal wear.
