2 IMPRESSIVE MEERSCHAUM PIPES: 1) Large carved Meerschaum pipe bowl of woman's bust with rams head helmet is cased. Detailed bowl has a variegated patina that comes with age and use. Measures 5.75'' l x 3.75'' h; 2) Wonderfully carved Native American in full headdress on horseback with amber stem. Measures 6'' l x 2.5'' h. Case has Genuine CPE Meerschaum logo inside. This collection is from a storage unit - the original owner is unknown. Letters in the unit to and from Dr. Burton Gottfried suggest that some or all of these items may be from his prestigious collection.
CONDITION: 1) Normal wear. Case is well worn inside and out; 2) Nice coloration of Meerschaum. Noticeable chip in headdress.
